Paul Horne
With over 30 years of coaching experience spanning Virginia, Georgia, and Florida, our offensive coordinator brings a championship-level pedigree to the team. He's been the driving force behind some of the state's most potent offenses for over two decades.
His track record is second to none:
- 3 Florida state football finals appearances and 2 state championships.
- 21 state playoff appearances, 19 district championships, 8 state semi-final appearances, and 8 regional championships.
- In 2012, his offense led the entire state of Florida in scoring.
His expertise in the trenches is particularly notable. He coached the East Offensive Line in the 2016 Army All-American Game and was the Offensive Line Coach for the South team in the 2012 Florida North-South All-Star Game. He has also served as a coach at both the Penn State Football Camp and University of Maryland Summer Camp.
He has a proven history of developing elite linemen, having coached an Army All-American, along with numerous all-Florida, all-district, and all-area players. His coaching philosophy centers on "flat backs, explosion off the ball, and creating space"—principles that have powered a vaunted running attack known throughout Florida.

It's not just about drawing up plays; it's about a championship mindset. My approach to offensive coordinating and offensive line preparation balanced on being a master strategist who built game plans one chunk at a time throughout the week, methodically breaking down opponent tendencies and preparing my players for any contingency. I believe in playing to my team's strengths, finding the opponent's weaknesses, and relentlessly exploiting that mismatch. With sound schemes that account for every player at the point of attack, my philosophy is simple: reps over talk. For me, my resume isn't on paper—it's in the drill work, and it's built on the field.
Football Opens Doors
Having met and worked alongside some of the greatest minds and athletes in the game, our coach's journey is one of both remarkable success and profound influence. He's been in the presence of legends like Lou Holtz, Bobby Bowden, and Anthony Munoz, and has coached with Hall of Fame coach Bill Kramer. His global experience, including playing in Japan, has provided him with a unique perspective on the game.
He has a history of turning programs around, transforming one that hadn't seen the playoffs in 18 years into a state champion. Beyond the X's and O's, his true legacy is measured in the hundreds of young men he's mentored, pushing them to not just be better players, but also better friends, husbands, and community members. He's not just a coach; he's a builder of men.
